Field Notes 30 Daydream Open Invitational II

Описание: Welcome back to the official recap of our 2nd Daydream Open Invitational - a surfing non-contest that celebrates the love of wave riding across three board categories: twin fins, single fins, and finless. The format features four, 60 minute divisions, $5 buy in, winner takes all. The divisions allow surfers to pick the best surfboard that intersects with their own individual style and the waves that we had to work with for the day. First we had an hour warm up followed by the finless division, then twin fin division, then the single fin division as the finale. No competition jerseys were needed as we want the surfers that are participating in this expression session to blend in with the rest of the people in the line up and not be given any special privileges. The judging criteria was based on attitude, style, and skill - a combination of factors that we feel express one being in flow with their environment as well as the waves they are surfing. We had a beautiful sunny day with enough swell for all categories to have a good time.
