Before they embarked on an incredibly long tour in support of 'Echo' in the summer and fall of 1999, Tom and the Heartbreakers played a series of shows at The Fillmore in San Francisco in March, a three-night stand at Irving Plaza in New York City in early April, and a series of international dates in the end of April (including an appearance on the German 'Rockpalast' TV show, which they first appeared on in 1977). The Box Tops' "The Letter" is one of the many covers that the band performed at some of these early '99 shows. This particular soundboard audio is taken from the live internet broadcast of the band's first night at the Irving Plaza in NYC. Enjoy!
