Gefell vs Neumann: Which Microphone Sounds Better on Saxophone?

Описание: In this video we’re comparing two amazing microphones — Gefell and Neumann — on saxophone in a studio setting. I’ve always admired the Neumann brand for its clarity and versatility (it’s definitely on my list as a go-to for drum overheads), and I was pleasantly surprised at how it sounds on saxophone too. The Gefell was completely new to me and absolutely blew me away — it’s now at the top of my wish list for future saxophone recordings.

One of the great things about testing mics like these is that you never really know how they’ll behave in a mix; a mic you love solo might act differently once the band comes in. Big thanks to Alex Sterling for organizing this comparison and for introducing me to another incredible mic!
