Out of those 8 people, 7 are Bangladeshi nationals. The arrest of the initial 2 people was done on the 15th as their role has emerged. On the 7th of February, anti-national posters were affixed on metro pillars near Kashmiri Gate area. Acting quickly and strictly on this information, Delhi police and the metro unit identified the people who had affixed the posters and traced their route. And they came to this conclusion that these people had come from West Bengal, Kolkata, and they had gone back to Kolkata. The case was subsequently transferred to the Delhi Police Special Service. Our team, which was led by DCP Amit Kaushik, Inspector Sunil and Inspector Dheeraj, acted quickly and went to Kolkata and arrested these two with the help of local police. The initial two arrests were of Omar Farooq, who is a resident of Malda, and the second arrest was of Rabiul Islam, who is a resident of Bangladesh..."
