• Day 2: Onwards to Kalpa – a peaceful mountain village with apple orchards and pine-covered slopes
• Day 3: Crossed through Nako and ancient Tabo, finally reaching Kaza, the heart of Spiti Valley
Spiti Valley Highlights:
• Key Monastery – the iconic hilltop gompa
• Buddha Statue in Langza – overlooking a Martian landscape
• Hikkim – posted a letter from the highest post office in the world
• Chicham Bridge – Asia’s highest suspension bridge
• Day 4: Stayed in Tabo
• Day 5: Journeyed to Chitkul – India’s last inhabited village near the Indo-Tibet border
• Day 6: Narkanda – surrounded by deodar forests and snowy charm
• Day 7–8: Exploring Chandigarh (quick city stop and unwind)
• Then: Back home to Jaipur
From dramatic landscapes to ancient monasteries, this trip gave me the best mountain views I’ve ever seen.
