Welcome back!
This week I have a finished quilt: colorful flying geese on a black background. As always, this is quilted by hand. I used 4 1/2" square scraps and the Wing Clipper ruler by Studio 180 (Deb Tucker) to make the flying geese units.
I am also currently quilting the double four-patch black and tan quilt which was in the previous episode. I talk about how I like to hand quilt, which is by using 4 needles at once in a 17" Q-Snap frame.
After that one is quilted, next in line will be the vintage snowball quilt, which I have pieced a back for using shirt cottons and have basted with thread.
New acquisitions this week (it's been a lot lately!) are from the Quakertown Quilt Show, hosted by the Quakertown PA guild, The Keystone Quilters. (I think I got the name wrong in the video, my apologies.) I talk a bit about how I will sort and store these scraps to keep things orderly and make sure they will be easy to use in the future.
Finally, I started piecing some Trip Around the World blocks... and am not sure how I feel about them. Feel free to let me know what you think would be the best use for them!
