Описание: A number of American Vietnam War veterans looking for a new life after a crazy war decided upon Udon Thani as a place to stay on. As host to a US airbase during the war (as well as a decent nightlife scene where many found their future partners) Udon was well placed as a place to get away from it all that was already set up to some degree to suit Americans. Those early birds then in turn inspired other later ex-pats; be they backpackers, business men, those seeking the way, or so on, to make the move. Udon Thani is one of Thailand's biggest ex-pat destinations outside of Bangkok yet it's surprising how many travelers miss its midnight delights. In fact, it's impressive how much nightlife is to be found here up in the far north-east of Thailand's Issan province. Come along & check it out for yourself.
