Hub1 was my first attempt at a self-contained, offline operations center designed for security, network resilience, and local communications. you can run it off a single board a Raspberry Pi microserver using containers to manage local CCTV recording, two-way comms integration, internal media access, and operational data storage without requiring the public internet. Hub1 is designed for homesteads, workshops, retreats, road trips, etc. Prioritizing preparedness, privacy, and operational self-reliance.
This system allows multiple cameras to stream and record locally, maintains internal communications even during grid-down situations, and serves as a local reference library and offline knowledge archive. When the power or internet fails, the hubs continue functioning.
Establish a private LAN/WAN environment for monitoring, radio use, documentation storage, and network device management. All data remains local and under owner control.
Power and device capability tiers:
Hub1: • Power draw: approximately 0.48 kWh per day
• Supports 3–5 LAN devices
• Supports 5–10 WAN/off-network connected devices
Hub2: • Power draw: approximately 0.87 kWh per day
• Supports 6–10 LAN devices
• Supports 5–10 WAN/off-network connected devices
Hub3: • Power draw: approximately 1.4 kWh per day
• Supports 10–15 LAN devices
• Supports 10–15 WAN/off-network connected devices
Suitable for preppers, homesteaders, off-grid environments, and anyone who values secure surveillance, local communications, and full operational control without cloud dependency.
This is the Know-Less Survival approach: build systems that work when everything else stops. More knowledge. Less reliance. More capability. Debating a follow-up video with Hub 2
