Seattle agencies map out transit plan for downtown FIFA World Cup 2026 matches

Описание: Transit agencies across the Puget Sound are ramping up service, adding security, and scaling back construction projects as Seattle prepares to host six matches during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Seattle is one of the few host cities with a stadium in the heart of downtown, allowing fans to walk, bike, or take buses, trains, and ferries to matches at Lumen Field.

However, that central location also requires intensive coordination to manage street closures, commuter traffic, and an influx of up to 750,000 visitors over four weeks.
