In 2005, as rumors spread like wildfire about the closing of the legendary NYC rock club, CBGB's, Hilly Cristal, the club's owner set off to Las Vegas with the aim of moving the iconic venue there — complete with the stage, bar and urinals from the bathroom. This is a look at that period, and history of the club that gave rise to the punk and hardcore movements and allowed a generation of musicians the chance to hone their skills and build an audience from other like-minded musicians and misfits.
