This is Part 2 of excerpts from George Van Eps’ composition
Tango El Bongo.
I have been transcribing a version for 6 string guitar
performed by Andy Brown
rather than from George’s version on the
“Mellow Guitar’ album.

This example carries on from Part 1
so I don’t cover the repeated parts in depth here.
I try and go over the new material slowly and clearly but there’s such intricacy in George’s selecting of notes out of chords and when they appear is hard to convey unless you have a strong familiarity with the recording.

There is much complexity here so I go over the chords and
fingerings slowly and repeatedly.
I apologize if this section is difficult to follow.
The fact is George's arrangements are complicated.
You'll see that the shapes are pretty simple and basic but
the continuity, flow, and textures are quite advanced.
Having familiarity with the recorded version certainly will help.
