From July to December of 2024, ICE says cartels flew more than 60,000 drones along the southern border. They say that’s an average of 328 drones coming within 500 meters of the U.S. border every day.
Authorities have deployed surveillance blimps, equipped with radar and high-altitude cameras, to combat the threat.
