For its sixth participation in BRAFA Art Fair, the Galerie Alexis Pentcheff is delighted to present a selection of modern art masterpieces celebrating the female form. These enigmatic women, inspiring Pierre Bonnard, Louis Valtat, Henri Manguin and of course, René Gruau, unveil pictorial revolutions throughout the 19th and 20th centuries. Either uncompromising figures of modernity, serving the art of their creator and therefore embodying its disruption, or revealing their flesh plainly exposed to their viewer’s gaze, these women are both the first witnesses and actresses of modern art.
