You can also add the collar stay or horse hair to make the peplum really stiff and standing.

Once you have cut your bodice ,, you will be able to determine the width of your peplum.

To achieve a 720 flare, you need to divide you total waist measurement by 4 . Next you cut 4 pieces of 360 degrees flare matching your waist circumference.

You will need to add 2 pieces of 360 degrees flare to get the peplum for the front piece and another 2 pieces of 360 degrees flare for the back piece.

Don't forget to include sewing allowance for joining the pieces together.
