In this social studies lesson for upper elementary, students will explore the theme of location in geography. They'll learn how geographers describe where places are using absolute location (with latitude and longitude) and relative location (describing a place in relation to others). Students will also be introduced to continents and oceans as key reference points for identifying locations on Earth. This lesson is from Miacademy’s Exploring Social Studies course.
