Most facilities and design engineers of industrial control panels assume a higher risk for voltages 50V and below and often think electrical safety is only critical when system voltages are greater than or equal to 100 Volts. This leads to a mindset where everyone is heavily focused on risk mitigation tactics when safety-by-design controls are applied only to voltages of higher magnitude, leaving the control systems behind.
