With ever-increasing regulatory pressure and escalating non compliance fines, new tire registration has never been more important. The Autel ITS600 now delivers integrated digital CIMS tire registration directly on the tool.

The FAST Act requires that tire installers register tires electronically or provide a means by which the customer could accomplish this themselves. Most often the customer is handed pre-formatted index cards and is expected to hand write the DOT numbers along with their contact and tire dealer information. Motorists would then mail the card to the tire manufacturer so that they would be notified in the event of a recall. Unfortunately this is rarely completed.

In addition to being able to perform TPMS diagnostics, sensor programming and vehicle relearns, the Autel ITS600 will now have the ability to perform digital DOT Tire Registration on board the tool using the integrated CIMS app, and a valid CIMS subscription.

Select “Tire Registration” on the ITS600 main screen, select the tire manufacturer, type in the DOT number in the correct format and then the quantity. Tap “Submit” and you’re all set!
