Описание: You have probably heard of mesh networks, but what are they exactly? And what are the benefits? On this episode of #AskIoT, Sagar Jaiswal, CTO and co-founder of Argentum Electronics, joins Ryan Chacon to explain wireless mesh and sensor networks. They discuss mesh network applications, advantages of mesh networks, enterprise applications, and deploying a mesh network.

With a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering specializing in robotics, Sagar enjoys working on products that require hardware, software, and services to come together. He is passionate about smart buildings, IoT, mesh networks, DC microgrids/power distribution, and the use of AI to reduce the carbon footprint. Sagar is the co-founder and CTO of Argentum Electronics, a technology company that helps buildings of any type conserve energy and reduce emissions through intelligent modular DC power distribution systems, sensors, and building automation software.

Argentum improves the value and efficiency of commercial and multifamily buildings with an intelligent direct current (DC) power distribution system that's pain-free to install. It combines the benefits of low-voltage wiring practices with voltage capabilities of up to 450 Volts DC. Argentum's system uses its patented technology, Digital Current, to convert electricity from AC (distributed to buildings from power grids) to DC electricity. Distributing DC electricity throughout a building can save up to 40% in operational costs, especially if the HVAC system has a DC motor.

The products involved in the Argentum system are:
SpacrPanel (AC to DC converter)
SpacrNode (which creates a wireless mesh network as well as distributes the correct voltage of DC power to devices)
The SpacrSwitch (wireless switch used to change parameters of the device it's associated with ex. lighting brightness)
SpacrSense: Occupancy and IEQ sensors
SpacrBAS: enables BACnet protocol devices to be controlled via the cloud
SpacrApp: A digital twin of the physical space associated with the system. This enables intuitive monitoring, control, automation, and optimization of connected building systems.
