Now is a good time to prune Gooseberries and other soft fruit - while your doing it you can increase your plant stocks by taking hardwood cuttings.
I like to go for an open centre shape to allow more light and air into the bush which assists ripening of the fruit, bigger berries and easier picking.
the variety I'm growing is called "INVICTA" it is mildew resistant.
my next upload will be showing how I lift and plant blackcurrant cuttings which were taken in November 2017 - stay tuned!
