Martin Chalfie shares his journey towards receiving the 2008 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for the discovery and development of the green fluorescent protein (GFP). He describes his experience of a life in research, sharing the myths about scientists which he has found to be untrue. The lecture was delivered at McGill University, Montreal, as part of the Nobel Prize Inspiration Initiative.
The Nobel Prize Inspiration Initiative (NPII) is a global programme designed to help Nobel Laureates share their inspirational stories and insights.
