Описание: This a quick clarification about using the antibiotic called azithromycin on a long term basis. Azithromycin taken as one tablet on only three days of the week (i.e. Mon, Wed, Fri) is sometimes recommended to patients who have very many chest infections. The use of azithromycin in this way should only be at your doctor's advice! The effect is more to modulate how your body's immune response reacts to various bacteria than to act as an antibiotic. There is always a small risk of developing bacterial resistance, so this is not something that is recommended to everyone.
