Join us in our kitchen to make Mulberry Nelly.
Ingredients used-
3.5 cups of juice
6 cups of sugar
6 tablespoons of powder pectin or classic fruit pectin (Add slightly more if using nuts.com pectin)
2 tablespoons of lemon juice IF NON-ACIDIC
Recipe-
Juice and pectin to a boil. (Add lemon juice also if needed)
Once boiling, add sugar. Let it dissolve completely and bring back to a boil.
Once boiling, boil for 2 minutes.
Turn off heat, decant into jars, place on lids, and put on ring firmly but not tight.
Place filled jars into boiling water that is at least 1 inch taller than jars. Use a water bath canner, if possible.
Time 15 minutes, and then remove to cool slowly at room temperature.
You should hear a pop sound if sealed or the middle of will not pop when pressed.
If you can't boil the jars, flip jar upside down. Leave until cool, when you flip right side, you should hear a pop. Always check to insure it has sealed by pressing the center of the lid. If sealed, it shouldn't pop up or down
