Описание: I was visiting the beautiful country of Croatia and the Dalmatian Coastal area around the city of Split in September for an all too short Holiday,
I managed to capture some of the trains of Croatian Railways ( Hrvatske Željeznice, HŽ) the national railway company of Croatia. I concentrated on the line between Split and Perkovic on the Split to Zagreb route and the sparse freight that uses the route. Split has an IC service between there and Zagreb utilising class 7 123 tilting DMU's and as most of the local services from Split to Kastel Stari just outside Split. The occasional local service being operated by DMU Railcars of class 7 122. These I witnessed also operating on local services serving Sibenik and Knin via Perkovic. The line out of Split is heavily graded climbing away from sea level to a summit at Labin of 1183 feet above sea level, a crawl for many heavy freight trains departing from the main railway yard in Solin in Split. All freight services I encountered were hauled by class 2 062/1 a subclass of 2 062 locomotives built by General Motors in 1972 weighing in at 103 tonnes and having a maximum speed of 77 mph. They are examples of the EMD G26 locomotive series. These locomotives are mainly used between Lika-Dalmatia services.
The city of Split is also served by a daily overnight sleeper service from Zagreb and v.v using class 2 044 locomotives very similar to the 2 062 class in appearance and weighing in at a lighter 97.5 tonnes and with a maximum speed of again 77 mph. They have adopted the nicknames of "Karavela", "Mala Karavela". On a Saturday and Wednesday an additional sleeper service runs to Split serving Zagreb, but coming from Hungary (Budapest) but for some reason does not appear on the departure or arrival board information at Split station, the day I visited the two sleeper services arrived as one longer train double headed. In my short visit I visited Split Pedgrade station where some rolling stock is housed and Split station itself right opposite the Harbour, also Kastel Stari station, Labin Dalmatinski station and also the pretty tranquil station at Perkovic where a Triple headed freight arrived from the Knin direction (North) and then split into two trains, one heading towards Sibenik and the other towards Solin Yard.
This feature will have 2 sections, the first part an intro with pictures and then the video section so if you want to skip the intro part go forward to 06 minutes and 04 seconds.

Info on times was correct at time of recording, train times have since changed.
Running Time 99 minutes. Lots of shunting movements.


Bio sam u posjetu prekrasnoj zemlji Hrvatskoj i dalmatinskog obalnog područja oko grada Splita
      uspio sam uhvatiti neke od vlakova Hrvatskih Željeznica (HŽ, HŽ) nacionalnog željezničkog prijevoznika Hrvatske. Usredotočio sam se na liniji između Splita i Perkovića na Split u Zagreb puta i rijetke tereta koji koristi rutu. Split ima IC usluge između tamo i Zagreb korištenje klase 7 123 ljuljanje DMU-a kao i većina lokalnih usluga od Splita do Kaštel Starom malo izvan Splita. Povremeni lokalnih usluga se aktivira pomoću DMU vagone klase 7 122. Te sam svjedok također djeluju na lokalne usluge koje služe Šibenik i Knin preko Perkovića. Linija iz Splita teško je ocijeniti penjanje daleko od razine mora do summita u Labinu od 1183 stopa iznad razine mora, puzati za mnogo teških teretnih vlakova koji polaze od glavnog željezničkog dvorištu u Solinu u Splitu. Sve usluge prijevoza tereta koje sam susreo se vući po klasama 2 062/1 podrazred 2 062 lokomotiva izgrađena General Motors u 1972. težinom od 103 tona i imaju maksimalnu brzinu od 77 milja na sat. Oni su usvojili nadimaka "KARAVELA", "Mala KARAVELA". U subotu i srijedu dodatni spavaš usluga pokreće se u Split posluživanje Zagreb, ali dolazi iz Mađarske (Budimpešta), ali iz nekog razloga ne pojavljuje na informacije polaska ili dolaska na ploči u Splitu stanice, dan sam posjetio dvije spavanje usluge stigao kao jedan duži vlak dvaput na čelu. U mom kratkom posjetu sam posjetio Split Pedgrade stanicu u kojoj je smještena neka vozni park i sama odmah nasuprot luku, također Kaštel Stari kolodvora, Labin Dalmatinski a također je prilično mirnom kolodvora u Perkoviću, gdje Triple čelu teretnog stigli iz smjera Knin Split stanicu (sjever), a zatim podijeliti na dva vlaka, jedan ide prema Šibeniku, a drugi prema Solin Yarda.
      Ova značajka će imati 2 sekcije, prvi dio uvod sa slikama i video poglavlje pa ako želite preskočiti uvodni dio ići naprijed za 06 minuta i 04 sekundi.
