Our first competition of 2026 took place on Tuesday 20th January, and what a fantastic way to start the year! Members of Clondalkin Camera Club once again produced a wonderful display of colour print images, showcasing an impressive range of photographic genres and creativity.
We were delighted to welcome John Raftery LIPF from Tallaght Photographic Society as our judge for the evening. John delivered insightful critique and valuable feedback on every image, making the night both educational and thoroughly enjoyable.
A huge thank you, John, for the time, effort, and expertise you put into adjudicating the competition – it truly made for a memorable evening for all. 👏
The winners across three categories, Novice, Intermediate and Advanced were as follows:
Novice:
1st ‘Hoverfly on Nectar’ by Gary Hooper,
2nd ‘Last Ferry Home’ by Siobhan Cullen,’
3rd ‘Palatial Path Alhambra’ by Gary Hooper.
Intermediate:
1st ‘Soft Pink’ by Noleen Dowdall,
2nd – ‘Chaffinch Composite’ by Noleen Dowdall,
3rd place – ‘Bordeaux Water Mirror’ by Enid Conaghan.
Advanced:
1st – ‘Caterpillars on Weed’ by Louise Skelly,
2nd – ‘A Winter Scene’ by Pat Kehoe,
‘3rd -’The Domestic’ by Louise Skelly.
