From the imaginary liner notes:
From episode 1x11, “Talons.” This is actually one of the first pieces I composed for the entire series! Unlike the Victorian costume drama it was loosely based on, this episode crashed our heroes into a gritty modern-day police procedural, something I tried to reflect in the music. This is from the big street fight set piece, with some authentic Chinese instruments (Eh-Ru and ZuGheng) representing the Black Tong gang.
