The BWG is a community of people brought together by their shared passion for beading. They welcome everyone interested in beading. The membership includes many highly skilled and talented designers from all over the world.
The process of beading has a rhythm to it which is has a calming effect,making it good for your wellbeing and being creative is very therapeutic as well as rewarding.
The Beadworkers Guild was founded in 1999 by Jill Devon, a bead designer and retailer. Her aims were to bring people together to learn beading techniques and show people how to develop them into creations of their own.
They became a registered charity in 2007 and operate with a board of trustees all of whom are volunteers passionate about beading.
They aim to promote all aspects of beadwork, be it cultural, historical, or contemporary.
