Took the 2024 Beta 430RS out to the Big Bear foothills today to check out some old abandoned mining cabins—and the ride was awesome. The Beta handled everything I threw at it—tight trails, rocky climbs, and some killer views along the way.
Once I got to the cabins, things got a bit more bittersweet. They’re super cool to see in person—weathered wood, rusty old parts, and that ghost-town vibe—but a lot of them have been trashed. Broken windows, graffiti, and garbage everywhere. Kinda sad to see history treated like that.
Still, walking around them was wild. You get this eerie sense of the past just hanging in the air. After exploring for a bit, I hit the trail again and made it back as the sun started setting behind the mountains. Solid ride, but definitely left with some mixed feelings.
