Suzanne Teng & her band Mystic Journey were perhaps the main reason for my flying from New Mexico to attend the 7th Annual Patomac Native American Flute Festival in Arlington, Virginia from March 26-28. They didn't disappoint, either! ST & MJ gave an incredible evening concert on Saturday, March 27, but in the afternoon of the same day, Suzanne & her husband, the awesome percussionist Gilbert Levy, offered a workshop in which a wide variety of world flutes were demonstrated. I was able to capture 8 short videos of some of these for you here... and in stereo sound, no less, thanks to my brand new Canon PowerShot SX20 IS camera. Enjoy this small taster of world flutes! The flute in this video is from Yunnan Province in mainland China.
