A full-speed adventure through East Java that included visits to the Tumpak Sewu Waterfall, Bromo Volcano and Igen Volcano.
In only 72 hours I traveled from Labuan Bajo, Flores through Bali to Surabaya, Malang and East Java to hit all three of these epic destinations.
I scootered solo from Malang to Tumpak Sewu which was about four hours round trip before joining three others on an organized 36-hour Bromo/Igen whirlwind tour that cost 2.4 million IDR or about $160.
This trip almost didn't happen but I'm so glad I squeezed it in, highly recommend it!
