Dispersion Trenches: Where Does Your Roof Water Go?

The first actual construction task I decided to tackle in building my own home was to put in the drainage dispersion trenches. I figured when I dig a big hole for my foundation I want it to have an outlet so it doesn't turn into a swimming pool if the weather turns against me.
Initially I was just expecting my drainage to be a pipe to daylight. I mean, what could go wrong with that?
Well, it turns out that the planning department at my local county is very serious about all things water. My impervious surfaces, runoff, stormwater, drainage, erosion, etc took center stage during my permit application process and every new person I talked to seemed to have some new crazy idea about what I needed to do. At the end of the day in order to get approval to build I had to hire a licensed civil engineer to custom-design a stormwater management plan custom-tailored to my building and my property.
One of the things that this design specified is that, instead of just running a pipe downhill, I had to construct two dispersion trenches to accept the water from my future roof.
So in today's video I set about building exactly that. You'll forgive me if I'm a little sarcastic about the whole thing, but, well, I think it's dumb and it's my YouTube channel and I'll be sarcastic if I want.
