Cambodian authorities opened a raided scam centre compound in Kampot province to media on February 10, 2026, highlighting their ongoing crackdown on transnational online fraud. Officials displayed confiscated SIM cards, fake IDs, documents, and computer equipment used to target victims worldwide. Police chief Mao Chanmothurith said limited manpower prevented officers from stopping thousands of workers from fleeing the site. The Commission for Combating Online Scams confirmed nearly 190 scam centres have been sealed nationwide, with dozens of suspects arrested.
