Riding to Khardung La (17,500 ft) | One of the Highest Roads on Earth

Описание: After heavy rain forced us to turn around the day before, we give it another try.
Khardung La is known as one of the highest motorable roads in the world at over 5,300 meters (18,000 ft). But reaching the top is never guaranteed. With unpredictable weather, rough mountain roads, and the thin air of the Himalayas, even getting there becomes part of the adventure. Riding two-up on our Triumph Tiger 800 XCA, we slowly climb higher into the mountains of Ladakh, not knowing what conditions we’ll find along the way. Will we finally make it to Khardung La?
This episode is part of our motorcycle journey around the world. So far we’ve ridden over 30,000 km across Southeast Asia and Central Asia — carrying everything we need on our bike, including our camping gear and kitchen.
