This is a performance by Venus Rising: Women's Drum & Dance Ensemble of "Bell Ensemble - Afroshe," a piece featuring Ghanian bells and a disctinct Afro-Brazilian feel. From the September 2013 Miami World Music Festival. The venue is the Florida International University Wertheim Performing Arts Center.
Venus Rising: Women's Drum and Dance Ensemble is a South Florida-based, multi-ethnic performance troupe dedicated to creating works that uplift and inspire. These talented women percussionists and dancers explore West African, Caribbean, Brazilian and Middle Eastern rhythms, movements and songs in powerful performances.
