Delaware Seashore State Park South Campground

Описание: Though these types of campgrounds are not my first choice, April loves camping near the beaches. So, I give you the Delaware Seashore State Park South Campground. The campground is set up more like a giant parking lot with very few trees. They do have a large playground for the children to play at. There are a lot of spaces that provide full hook-ups as well. The camp store has some of the basic amenities one would need. There is only one location for the trash dumpsters. near the camp store. While we were there, three of the four showers were inoperable. We didn't see anyone clean up the bathrooms while we were there either. The shower was apparently overflowing to where the stalls are which is not good. Other than that, The campground is only about 700 yards away from the beach. If you plan on going to the beach, make sure you get there early, Claim your spot! When we arrived there was no one hardly on the beach then the flood gates of people showed up and we had people putting chairs two feet away from ours. They have a restaurant called "The Big Chill" and I highly recommend the "Bay Burger" it was awesome! The sunset can be watched from the campground but, the best place to see the sunrise is from on top of the Indian River Bridge. We do plan on returning just to make sure of a couple things.
