Ered Gorgoroth - Semi Generative Ambient Patch

Описание: A deep and brooding ambient drone, sculpted live with modular interplay and processed through synthetic reverb + added rain textures.

This is part of a new collaboration with my brother Sylvain Paslier, where we’re sketching out a new soundscape language built from modular improvisation and layered tape textures.

Patch Notes

Vhikk X by Forge TME — primary voice, manipulated mostly via LPF, feedback and wrap parameters to push it into screaming timbres and dark ambience.

Marbles by Mutable Instruments — used to modulate the wavetable scan (via the Y parameter) introducing movement and evolving texture.

Beads by Mutable Instruments — secondary wavetable voice, self modulated to reach a higher octave in the mix, adding a bit more harmonic complexity.

Ghost — filter, disto and provides the large ambient reverb and spatial diffusion mid‑chain.

TX‑6 Drone Reverb — placed at the end of the signal chain to further swell and blur the sound into space.

Norns script (custom rain sound) — layered gently beneath the synth drone as subtle nature texture.

For once this is not fully generative cause the Vhikk X is so impredictable and so playable. Hands‑on control over modulation depth, filter choices, feedback intensity, and spatial reverb. The generative element is mostly limited to how Marbles scans the wavetable over time.

The mood shifts slowly from a restrained rumble into harsher, screaming textures, within a dark, immersive field. The rain sound breathes underneath to soften edges.
