Episode Notes:

2. NFL 2K, 2K1, 2K2 on the DC. NFL 2K2, 2K3, 2K5 on the XBOX. ESPN NFL Football(2K4) on the PS2.

3. I did not want any "next generation" Madden footage in this episode.

4. Visual Concepts is still around making the NBA 2K24 and WWE 2K24 games.

5. In 2007, Take Two did try to do a football game called All-Pro Football 2K8 without the NFL license. It was developed by Visual Concepts, and though it was a fair game, it did not sell well. It focused heavily on retired players but still failed to feel like an authentic NFL experience.

6. EA Sports has the NFL license until the end of the 2025 season. I anticipate they will pay for it again.
