No Strings Attached
Begin your adventure inside the Stromboli Puppet Theatre, where Pinocchio can be seen singing and dancing in a festive marionette show. Avoid the clutches of evil puppet-master Stromboli—with help from the kindhearted Blue Fairy—and follow the boy puppet as he ventures to Pleasure Island, against the warnings of helpful Jiminy Cricket. Glide past a frenetic carnival confection of childish amusements—then noisy barkers, a creepy clown and a looming Jack in the Box—before escaping to the sea where the great and mighty Monstro the Whale awaits.

Will Pinocchio ever find his way back to his maker Gepetto and become a real boy? Like the story goes, if you believe, anything is possible.

Based on the Classic Film
In the 1940 movie, Pinocchio is carved from wood by the goodhearted toymaker Gepetto and animated by the Blue Fairy. But before he can become a real boy, Pinocchio has to prove himself to be brave, honest and unselfish—with the help of Jiminy Cricket—while staying out of trouble. Only through a selfless act of love for his father does Pinocchio finally earn the right to become a real boy.

The main song for the film "When You Wish Upon A Star" not only won the 1940 Academy Award® for Best Song, but also went on to become the unofficial theme song for The Walt Disney Company.

Brought To Life
Pinocchio's Daring Journey opened on May 25, 1983 at Disneyland Park. Based on Disney's second animated feature Pinoccho, the attraction faithfully recreates many of the settings and scenes from the treasured film. The story comes alive with the help of 32 animated characters, 29 inventive props and countless special effects.

A Dark Ride
Pinocchio's Daring Journey is one of several Disney attractions known as a "dark ride." Rather than feature traditional show lighting, the show sets are painted in black light paint and illuminated in ultraviolet light. This system makes the colors far more vibrant and fanciful than they would be using traditional lighting. Other dark rides include Snow White's Scary Adventures, Peter Pan's Flight and Alice in Wonderland.
