ଓଡ଼ିଶା ପରିବହନ କର୍ମଚାରୀଙ୍କୁ ୧୨ ଲକ୍ଷ ଟଙ୍କା ଜରିମାନା କଲେ ମହାରାଜ କଂସ। ୭୮ ତମ ବିଶ୍ୱ ପ୍ରସିଦ୍ଧ ବରଗଡ଼ ଧନୁଯାତ୍ରାର ଚତୁର୍ଥ ରଜନୀରେ ଦିଗବିଜୟରେ ବାହାରି ସନ୍ଧ୍ୟାରେ ବରଗଡ଼ ସରକାରୀ ବସଷ୍ଟାଣ୍ଡରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିଥିଲେ ମହାରାଜ କଂସ। ସେଠାରେ ପ୍ରଜାମାନେ କରିଥିବା ବହୁ ଅଭିଯୋଗ ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ମହାରାଜଙ୍କୁ ଜଣାଇଥିଲେ। ଯାତ୍ରୀବାହୀ ବସ ଡ୍ରାଇଭରମାନେ ମଦ୍ୟପାନ କରି ବସ ଚାଳନା କରିବା ସହ ଯାତ୍ରୀଙ୍କୁ ଦୁର୍ବ୍ୟବହାର କରିଥିବା ଅଭିଯୋଗ ଥିଲା। ବସଷ୍ଟାଣ୍ଡ ଆବର୍ଜନାରେ ପରିପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଏବଂ ଶୌଚାଳୟ ଅପରିଷ୍କାର ଥିବା ଅଭିଯୋଗ ଆସିଥିଲା। ଏସବୁ ଅଭିଯୋଗ ଆଧାରରେ ମହାରାଜ କଂସ ଓଡ଼ିଶା ରାଜ୍ୟ ପରିବହନ ମଥୁରାନଗରୀର ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଗୀତାଞ୍ଜଳି ବାରିକଙ୍କୁ ୧୨ ଲକ୍ଷ ଟଙ୍କା ଫାଇନ କରିଥିଲେ।

During the 78th world-famous Bargarh Dhanu Jatra, Maharaja Kansa imposed a fine of ₹12 lakh on Odisha transport officials following serious public complaints. On the fourth night of the festival, Maharaja Kansa reached the Bargarh Government Bus Stand during his Digvijay procession.

Local residents and passengers reported that several passenger bus drivers were allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol and misbehaving with commuters. Complaints were also raised about the bus stand being filled with garbage and the toilets remaining in an unhygienic condition.

Based on these complaints, Maharaja Kansa fined Gitanjali Barik, the chief official of the Odisha State Transport at Mathuranagari, holding the department accountable for negligence during the festival period.
