Sectoral balances learned with a cartoon subtitled in english
Real world economy is based on the interchange of Goods and Services for currency between the following three sectors:
Domestic Private
Government
Trade Balance
The sum of all three must always be ZERO.
This means that if one or two of the sectors is in surplus another sector MUST be in deficit.
If we immagine that in the Domestic Private Sector we all live, private citizens, and in the Trade Sector all foreign citizens live, it is obvious that it is the Government sector that must be in deficit in order to transfer wealth to the other to prevent impoverishment.
All clear, up until a certain point, when someone invents the European Treaties....
