Описание: First experimented with for a couple months of 1946 using cast off Japanese "A" Yen notes originally meant for use in Korea, the idea of using special monetary notes, or "scrip," to pay the servicemen and women for their nominal salary and/or incidental costs on-base proved enormously successful in limited economic impacts of the American military base located in a foreign country, reined in black market activities to practically nothing, and provided nothing on hand in the form of real and normal American currency and coin for an enemy to confiscate in war. So, in September 1946 the first series of Military Payment Certificates was introduced. Every now and then, it would be replaced with a new variety of same, such that the old is useless as money once the next is introduced, and always without previous notice. The next couple such exchanges took place in March of 1947 and again in March of 1948.
