Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi is set to deliver the 2026 State of the Province Address on Monday at the Nasrec Expo Centre.
In last year's address, the Premier of South Africa's economic hub identified unemployment as one of Gauteng's G13 priority challenges.
Among the sectors highlighted for its employment potential is recycling — with Gauteng accounting for 52% of the country's recycling operations and processing nearly 58 percent of South Africa's total recyclate tonnage.
Earlier today, SABC News reporter Thato Letsaba visited a recycling station in Newton, Johannesburg.
