Track testing of the 555 Engineering Transfer Case (AWD) Cooler, now available for order on our website.
In our extensive instrumented testing, the Transfer Case was by far the hottest component in the GR Corolla drivetrain and likely the primary thermal limiting component in the AWD system.
This is similar to the Focus RS system (FoRS PTU = GRC transfer case; FoRS RDU = GRC ITCC).
Video also shows thermal difference of the GR Corolla transfer case and ITCC (magnetic clutchpack) / rear differential assembly.

A few too many air fresheners
A Syvecs AWD Controller is required to run extended sessions as the factory controller infers the Transfer Case temperature (no physical OEM sensor) and in factory form cannot sense mechanical cooling (thanks Toyota). Also available at www.555engineer.com
