If you watched my last film, “Ambergate, Alderwasley and Shining Cliff Woods”, did you notice an object in a few shots seen in the distance that resembled a lighthouse? I made no reference to it in that film, so did you wonder what it was? Well wonder no more as we pay a visit to it in this film.

Getting even closer to home, I begin today’s walk in the village of Whatstandwell in Derbyshire about two miles north of Ambergate, the location of my previous walk.

I walk along part of the Cromford Canal and head up to the stunning village of Holloway. Later on, I visit Crich Stand, which provides stunning views over the Derwent Valley. We also take a brief look around the village used in the TV series “Peak Practice”.

Filmed in the county of Derbyshire. Locations include Whatstandwell, Holloway, Wakebridge, Crich Stand and Crich village.
