Toyota Supra Mk3 7M-GTE 1989

We only have a few parts left to prepare before we can do some painting. The brake shields which gets a mix of dirt, rust, brake dust etc over the years are not really fun to clean and the rust is really on there.

I still also need to modify one of the front brake shields for the new brake discs.

I can't remember what it was but I was angry and/or sad on this day almost a year ago so when my friend arrived at the garage it was easier for me to tag along on his car stuff for a bit. He had a broken stud, one of the ones that hold the rear subframe to the body of the car on his Nissan S13. Instead of doing the quick and dirty weld solution we opted for the more proper solution. The old stud is getting drilled out as that will keep the splined end and a good way of centering the new screw. The new screw is a high quality threaded rod (actually meant for holding ATMs to the floor). So here we are starting on drilling out the stud. Bigger drills are required before they are ready to be installed on his car.

My Huawei P30Pro is used for the parts where I'm talking and for the other things I'm using my GoPro Hero3+
