Originally released in 1990, Party Town by Dave Stewart and the Spiritual Cowboys is best known for its prominent place on the soundtrack of the film Flatliners. For me, it is inseparable from that movie. After more obsessive rewatches than I care to admit, the song became lodged in my head as part of the film’s atmosphere. When I tried the opening riff on cello, I knew immediately that the song would work. This track ended up having my favorite opening of the entire First Flight album.
