Inset stoves are often overlooked by those looking for new wood burning and multi fuel stoves and this can be a big oversight !
Where you have a fireplace opening in a more modern house, it’s often not viable to open the space up to much more than 600mm wide
This leaves several scenarios worth thinking carefully about . Either customers but stoves that are as big as possible - leaving a final result which looks like the stove is shoe horned into the space.. or they get left with a stove much smaller than they imagined and a possible short fall in heat output.
With an inset stove, it’s meant to fill the whole space and can save costs as often hearth doesn’t need replacing and far less disruption.
A few years ago, inset stoves were a bit of a let down - but efficiencies have soared and really… not enough people consider them.
