Brexit begins: EU officially receives Article 50 notice from UK.
Britain's separation from the European Union has formally begun.
Prime Minister Theresa May told parliament that the letter notifying the intention to leave the bloc has been delivered to European Council President Donald Tusk in Brussels.
Formal negotiations can now start, with the UK set to leave by March 2019.
