EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas called for an international coalition to protect maritime security, and China urged restraint, warning that the fragile ceasefire must not be derailed. The Strait of Hormuz, which carries nearly one-fifth of global oil trade, remains at the centre of rising global concern.
