Looking to move to the Woodlands TX? Well maybe hang tight and check out this video before you pull the trigger because I'm going to cover the top 6 things that sucks about the Woodlands, TX.

1) Too wooded: everything looks the same. While its pretty and cohesive in look, its all so similar and you have to pay a lot of attention on the street you are on to know where you are. Also commercial is hidden behind the trees, retail, shopping, gas stations, all hard to find.
2)High Prices: the price per square foot are a lot higher than most for homes that are even run down and in need of renovating still sell 170+/sqft range minimum all the way into the 400+/sqft range believe it or not. Now they get away with this because the woodlands is unique and highly sought out, there is truly nothing like it but for me personally, I dont love the idea of buying a old ass home in a lot of need of work at top dollar just because of the zip code, just doesnt sit well with me for certain clients. You can really get taken advantage of, or be bested just by the demand and market around you because its fierce to play out in the woodlands.
3)Overcrowded and traffic is always bad. 120k residents in this township into the 9 villages that make it up along with tons of commercial amenities outsiders love like the mall, market street, waterway, parks etc and only so many main roads in and out of the woodlands pkwy, research forest running front to back, and kukyedahl and gosling that run east and west fully across it. Thats it.
4)Not as exclusive as you would think: shopping, mall, market street, public parks, green belts, playgrounds, etc all pretty public. Even the pools can allow outsiders day passes and season passes for the 14 different pools
5)Expensive: bougie area, so the dining, shopping, houses, hell even the gas prices I have noticed can be higher than what I see just 15 min north of it. While you do have a lot of free access to the public grounds you can easily get caught up in the lifestyle here and that is shopping till you drop and spending a lot of money on the lifestyle here
6)No new construction as a whole: (three exceptions, random builds off tare downs, one condominium complex just outside of Grograns off the freeway, and enclave at the woodlands) there are going to be some exceptions to this, mainly in areas like grogans and even panthers creek I am seeing where contractors get away with just taring down the old home and building a new one, but then you have this really nice new home sticking out on the block that doesnt really blend in. So what I mean but no new construction is that the woodlands is done with development. It started in the 1970’s and went into the mid 2000’s ending around the 201/ maybe 2016 timeframe and other than some random outlier examples there wont be any new construction going on any longer since its all completed.
