Manu, The Spider, is an animated project of a comedic series of short films. Told from the spider's point of view, it has a hint of the Road Runner & the Coyote and the French TV series Minuscule.

Brenda Macedo of Breemotion created this minimalist animation, and Fabio Colombini was the musician in charge of the musical production. Also, a big shout-out to the band Toy Dolls, whose music, “Spiders in the Dressing Room,” inspired me greatly when creating this project.

Manu lives peacefully in a small, cozy nook within a big house. It's a female huntsman spider, not venomous, but her size scares people a lot. She's relentless, a promising sprinter, and has a bachelor's in cob-web engineering. She loves her family and listens to reggae music.

The first episode, Vic, the Vacuum Cleaner, starts when Amber, the new tenant, arrives in the house. Amber is a bright young lady who loves cleaning and hates spiders. But when she uses Vic, the Vacuum Cleaner, Manu’s life turns upside down. The battle begins.

Based on a true story, Manu, the Spider is about being confident, courageous, and resilient regardless of her size and the obstacles ahead. Manu never gives up. She faces dangerous situations and might get hurt sometimes, but never gets killed—like Wile E. Coyote.

Manu, The Spider é um projeto de animação de uma série cômica de curtas-metragens. Contado do ponto de vista da aranha, tem uma pitada de Papaléguas e da série de TV francesa Minuscule.

A animação minimalista foi criada por Brenda Macedo da Breemotion, e a produção musical feita pelo músico Fabio Colombini. Além disso, um grande agradecimento à banda Toy Dolls, pois sua música, “Spiders in The Dressing Room”, me inspirou muito na criação deste projeto.
